Let me be the first to say, this lady sure can sing. I really hope she makes it.

This would be pleasantly remarkable, but nothing more, if this wasn’t the same person. I’m amazed by all of it.

If you really insist on hating her, you’re going to be on the wrong side of history. Fair warning!

I absolutely do not understand the people who say she can’t sing. They’re just looking for reasons to hate her.

I respect her talent (and I don’t hate her music), but my problem with her is how contrived her image is. She tried being the “hot pop star”, but wasn’t good-looking enough to compete with Britney, so she decided to go the “ridiculously weird” route to get attention.

She’s just trying too hard, imo.

Well, perhaps she didn’t want to be another Britney (who doesn’t have a strong voice and relies purely on image and provocative lyrics)..maybe she’s got more to offer than fake boobs and ass - if that makes you “pretty” then I suppose you’re just as superficial. The artistic edge, whether contrived or not is something she pulls off well, so it can’t be that contrived. You can’t be embarrassed to like something when there’s obvious talent (songwriting, composing, vision, etc) that is not based on pure transient gimmicks.
